CITY COUNCIL HEARING
BALLPARK OMNIBUS FINANCING AND REVENUE ACT OF 2004

At a duty noticed public meeting of ANC 6D, which covers Near Southeast
and Southwest Washington, DC, the proposing site of a new baseball stadium, the ANC
voted to approve the following resolution, opposing this legislation and
the construction of a stadium at this site:
ANC 6D is opposed to the Ballpark Omnibus Financing and Revenue Act of
2003. This bill is being acted upon precipitously, and does not address
critical aspects of how the stadium will impact on the citizens of
Southwest, Near Southeast and close-in Capitol Hill. Significant
questions remain regarding the many issues about which community members
have raised questions and for which no answers have yet been provided.
