A PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

Chairman Cropp, at the request of the Mayor, introduced the following emergency resolution, which was referred to the Committee on Economic Development.

To approve the proposed long-term ground lease Agreement between the District of Columbia and Building Bridges Across the River, Inc. for the development of a Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Center (THE ARC) on part of the Oxon Run Parkway in Southeast, Washington D.C. in Ward 8.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL. OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, that the resolution may be cited as the "Long-term Ground Lease between the District of Columbia and Building Bridges Across the River, Inc. Emergency Approval Resolution of 2000".

Sec. 2. Pursuant to D.C. Law 8-96, the Council of the District of Columbia has reviewed and approved the Lease Agreement between the District of Columbia and Building Bridges Across the River Inc. for surplus property, identified as Parcel 236 Lot 114 of Reservation 501 - Oxon Run Parkway.

Sec. 3. The Secretary of the Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of the resolution, upon its adoption, to the Mayor of the District of Columbia.

Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
