Mayor A PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA To confirm the appointment of Patricia Ann Fisher, Ph.D. to the Citizen Complaint Review Board. RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the "Citizen Complaint Review Board Patricia Ann Fisher Confirmation Resolution of 1999" Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of: Patricia Ann Fisher, Ph.D. as a member of the Citizen Complaint Review Board, established by section 5 of the Office of Citizen Complaint Review Establishment Act of 1998, effective March 26, 1999 (D.C. Law 12208; D.C. Code §4-914), for a term to end 1-year from the date a majority of the first members are installed. Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its adoption, each to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor. Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately. Prepared proposals, developed budgets, wrote reports and supervised staff. Clinical/Psychological: Over 25 years of experience as an individual and group psychotherapist. Extensive experience with alcohol and substance abuse issues, programs, and clients. Served as Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Mental Health Consultant. Licensed psychologist since 1978. Member of DC Psychology Board for four years. Teacher, Trainer, Consultant: Over eight years of teaching graduate level students in the areas of counseling psychology and international studies. Work as a trainer and consultant in the areas of drug. abuse education, cross-cultural orientation, cultural diversity, career development, and human resource development. Give public presentations for varied audiences including radio and television. International: Planned, organized and coordinated educational and recreational trips for various organizations. Served as group leader for international trips. Developed and provided cross-cultural orientation and training for federal and other agencies. Served as Peace Corps volunteer in Brazil for 2 years. Extensive travel in Africa and the Caribbean, and to a lesser extent western Europe. Research/Writing: Recipient of university and federally funded grants. Publications include several referenced journal articles and a Department of Education career education manual.
