Commissions: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NATIONAL CAPITAL REVITALIZATION
CORPORATION Board Phone: (202) Authority: D.C. Law 12-144, effective 9/11/98, D.C. Code Sec. 1-2295.1 et seq. Purpose: To foster economic growth and employment opportunities in the District of Columbia. Duties: Prepare annual performance goals; serve as the Board of Directors for RLA [Redevelopment Land Agency] and the ECDFC [Economic Development Finance Corporation]; prepare action plans for review and approval by the Council; prepare rules and procedures regarding procurement, property disposition, conflicts of interest, personnel matters for review and approval by the Council; appoint a chief executive officer; make grants. Members must file personal financial disclosure statements. Meetings: Quarterly Composition: Nine (9) members: three (3) members appointed by the President of the United States through the Secretary of the District of Columbia; four (4) public members appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council; two (2) ex-officio members: the Chief Financial Officer of the District of Columbia and the Mayor. Compensation: None Term: Five (5) year terms for Presidential appointees (except original appointments); .five (5) year terms for public citizens (except initial appointments); District government ex-officio members shall serve by virtue of their incumbency in District government offices. |
