A PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

To confirm the appointment of Mr. Terrence Boykin to the Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals for the District of Columbia.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the "Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals for the District of Columbia Terrence Boykin Confirmation Resolution of 2001 ".

Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

Washington, D.C. 20011
(Ward 4)

as a member of the Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals for the District of Columbia, established by D.C. Official Code § 47-825.01, replacing Richard Coward, whose term ended July 31, 2000, for a term to end July 31, 2005.

Sec. 3. The Secretary to the Council of the District of Columbia shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its adoption, each to the nominee and to the Office of the Mayor.

Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

Maintained and coordinated the payment of invoices of various departments of the National Trust. Trained and supervised a support staff of three. Responded to inquiries concerning outstanding balances and discrepancies. Monitored open payables listing to insure that payments are made on a timely basis. Conducted weekly generation of computerized checks for comptroller's approval. Reconciled sub-ledgers to the G/L monthly, and assisted in the preparation of monthly reports. Prepared monthly reconciliation's of 13 bank accounts. Responsible of preparing all payables schedules needed for the year-end audit. Prepared a schedule of grants issued. Verified monthly inventory of petroleum products. Trained and supervised a staff of five. Implemented and maintained a basic bookkeeping system consisting of journals and ledgers. Verified procurement regulations before being submitted for approval. Coded invoices for input and distribution through the general ledger. Maintained vendor files of Invoices as permanent record of expenditures.
