Just Classifieds

Dear Neighbors:

With all the questions I've received, I guess it's time to review our "evolving" classified ad policy. All ads are free. They are published every Sunday and must be submitted for each issue. Please keep ads to 25 words or fewer. And please, please, please--follow the following format rules. Use a header. Write in with normal punctuation and spelling. (Please, NO ALL CAPS.) And sign each posting with your name on one line and your email address on the next. That's it for now.

And just to remind you why I'm running the classifieds separately--some readers have complained about the length of dc.story. By grouping the ads, those of you who are interested can read them. Those who aren't can just delete the message when you see "Just Classifieds" on the subject line.

As always, I'm open to suggestions for running this service better--but I don't respond well to advice giving with expletives inserted.

Also free! dc.movie: Short movie reviews and movie discussion. To subscribe, send an email message to story@intr.net and note the name of the newsletter in the subject line or body of the text.

Cheers,

Jeffrey Itell

Anyone out there own a compact pickup truck and want a cap for it? My Mazda B2200 currently has a cap that I'd like to get rid of. It's a basic cap, old and unbeautiful but functional. I rarely move things in the rain, so I'd rather lose it and have the improved visibility when I'm driving. The truck is near my home just north of Dupont Circle. It should fit most compact pickups. Come get it and it's yours.

If you've ever bought any of those self improvement courses, or how-to-make-money courses from local seminars or TV infomercials, and never got around to using them, here's your chance to sell them (maybe you will make some money from them after all!). Or, if you've had your eye on one of them to buy, but didn't want to pay full price, here's a chance to pick one up at a discount.

I know, for the right price, I'd like to have a few of them for myself. I've also got a couple I'd like to unload. And with millions of those things being sold every year, I know there are other people out there who feel the same way.

For those reasons, I have put up a free "classified ad" site where you can buy and sell these courses. So check under your bed, dust off those old cassettes, and list them for sale at: http://www.imsinternet.com/imsfldr/infomercial.html
