DC Inspector General
Office of the Inspector General
717 14th Street, NW, Fifth Floor
Washington, DC 20005
Dear Inspector General Willoughby:
I was told that Councilmember Barry had included me in his audit request of the Summer Youth Employment Program. But just in case, I am writing to make sure that you are aware that I would like to have an audit performed immediately. Of particular concern are: the number of students enrolled in the program; the number of students who actually worked; the number who were paid that worked; the number of students who were paid that did not work; the number of private employers and the number of students who worked for them, and who paid their salaries and at what cost; and which governmental agencies had student workers, and the number each employed and at what cost.
Please contact Nyasha Smith, Committee Clerk, at 724-8105 if you have any questions. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Carol Schwartz
Councilmember, At-Large
Chair, Committee on Workforce
