Anthony Williams is committed to providing job training and help so district residents can find work and grow in their jobs. Anthony Williams is the only candidate with a proven record of accomplishments. And he is dedicated to serving all District residents. For too long, the District of Columbia made promises to our residents and failed to deliver. Millions of dollars in training money was spent, but virtually no one placed in jobs. Welfare recipients who want to work and want to be trained have been let down by the District government.

Anthony Williams will:

CREATE a comprehensive child care network that provides safe, affordable child care so mothers and fathers can work.

ESTABLISH job training, counseling and placement programs that prepare welfare recipients and other District residents for good paying jobs.

WORK with businesses, the nonprofit community, labor, the University of the District of Columbia and our public schools to provide young adults with school-to-work opportunities such as apprenticeship programs where they learn a trade and earn school credit.

COMMIT training money to help residents learn new skills so they can change careers to take advantage of job opportunities in the region.

PROVIDE tax relief and incentives that encourage large and small employers to do business in the District.
