WHY I SUPPORT ANTHONY WILLIAMS

D.C. Residents should ask themselves how and why did Anthony Williams become the Chief Financial Officer in D.C.?

He became the CFO because of the failed leadership of Chavous, Evans, Brazil, Schwartz, and other elected officials, who provided no oversight or accountability over the agencies that they were responsible for. As a result of inaction, schools are dysfunctional, recreational programs are nonexistent, and the quality of life is poor in our nation's capitol as it relates to city services. As well, there is no creditability with financial institutions, and basic democratic rights were taken from 500,000 + residents.

What has Anthony Williams done in less than three years, to turn this picture around'?

• Budget surplus
• Balanced budget
• Small business owners doing business with D.C. Government are now being paid in a timely manner
• Strong financial measures in place to insure that agencies live within their budgets
• D.C. residents are now receiving tax returns in a record time
• D.C. residents are now receiving accurate property assessments
• Strong creditability with financial institutions
• Union and non-union employees will receive long awaited pay raises as a result of strong financial measures put in place by Williams

Anthony Williams understands what it takes to get a job done, that benefits all D.C. residents. Anthony Williams understands that tough decisions must be made to restore credibility back to the citizens of D.C. He also understands that tough times don't last; tough people do.

Let the broken promises of Chavous, Evans, Brazil, and Schwartz rest in PEACE.
