Again, my name is David VanWilliams, I want to be your next U.S. Congressman and represent you and this great city/state.

I am proud of the accomplishments of the people of Washington, D.C. and I would be honored to pick up the banner of self-determination for native Washingtonians.

Why should the voters elect you?
Voters should elect me because I am dedicated to the cause of self government, with strong congressional representation for D.C. The Statehood Party stands for more than statehood. We stand for self-government and full congressional representation. When home rule was implemented it was flawed due to no congressional representation. I am committed to EDUCATING the voters of D.C. so together we can work with Congress to correct this flaw. Martin Luther King, Jr. once challenged America’s government to live up to its creed. If you understand the principles which this country was founded, Democracy, Liberty and Justice, then elect me as your next representative to the House of Representatives. I will give voice to your concerns. VOTERS of Washington, It is Un-American that the District of Columbia and it’s Government would be so severely affected depending on who the majority is in Congress, with your vote, I will provide balance and promote an equal rights amendment for D.C> citizens.

What would you like voters to know about you? I would like the voters to know that I support Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners full funding and empowerment, ANC’s are an integral part of our government and they should not be eliminated or have their powers reduced.
