SANDRA “SS” SEEGARS
CITY COUNCIL AT-LARGE
FOR EVERYDAY PEOPLE

VOTE
INDEPENDENT
NOV. 3

August 27, 1998

Dear Citizens of the District of Columbia:

It gives me great pride to be a candidate in this election for an at-large seat on the City Council.

I have entered this race to win; to win this government back for the citizens; to win respect back for our city; and to win self-governance.

As a strong advocate for the rights and fair treatment of all the people, as a councilmember, I will do all I can do to bring trust back to the Council. I will continue to be your watch dog, and let the Sunshine Law prevail.

When we did not get enough signatures to put the recall of Mayor Marion Barry on the ballot it had crossed my mind to move out of the city, but it occurred to me to me that this is my home, instead of leaving, stay and run for office, to make the city better, don't leave a city that needs me.

There are unethical persons who don’t want me in this race, but I am not in it for them, I am in it for the majority; the good, upstanding citizens who want what I want, a properly run city whose people are proud to say, I live in Washington, DC.

VOTE FOR SANDRA “SS” SEEGARS ON NOV. 3, GENERAL ELECTION.

Best regards,

Sandra “SS” Seegars
