Elect
CAROL SCHWARTZ
Your Mayor
"I love this city and I've spent the last 33
years working to make DC a better place. My devotion began as a volunteer when I first
arrived here and grew as I put 3 kids through DC public schools.
I've never shied away from the tough decisions. I fought for a balanced
budget when no one else did. I proposed lowering taxes when few agreed. I was tough on
crime before it was fashionable. I have a strong and real commitment to protect our
environment. I have consistently supported home rule.
- The next mayor must not make election premises that cannot be kept.
- The next mayor must lead a responsive government that delivers reliable and efficient
services.
- The next mayor must be willing to take on the control board - not simply rubber-stamp
its decisions.
- The next mayor must fight to restore home rule.
- The next mayor must restore our pride, our optimism and bring renewal to our city.
- Join me in the fight to bring it home to DC."
