Dear Neighbor,

For the past 25 years, I have lived and worked in the District of Columbia, writing for the Washington Post, the City Paper, and other publications. I have traveled the city on my bicycle, attending community meetings, talking to neighborhood leaders in every ward, and reporting the accomplishments and failures of our elected officials.

For too long, District government has failed its resident...

Vital services are not being delivered, tax dollars are wasted, schools open their doors months behind schedule, our children’s test scores are among the lowest in the nation and streets are unsafe.

This election marks THE END of business as usual...

The council must never again wield a rubber stand of approval for mismanagement, underqualified nominees, and half-baked politics.

Our most vulnerable citizens are being neglected...
