Dear Commissioner:

My campaign is based on restoring and promoting the integrity of our neighborhoods. While on the Council, I will push for smart growth in our residential and our economic districts.

ANCs are a critical part of this policy. As a full-time councilmember, I will work closely with ANCs. Surplus funds should be used to this end. Regardless of the eventual outcome of the debate in Congress over ANC financing, the recommendations of ANCs will always remain an integral part in our fight to revitalize this city.

Over the course of the campaign, I am happy to say that I have been defining much of the debate. Issues I introduced to this campaign have been picked up by other candidates. These include the abolishment of the MCI/arena tax, strengthening the DC Auditor, reforming parking ticket policies, and shaping our educational system to promote lifelong learning. My campaign has mailed to, phoned, and canvassed all over the District, and my message has been met with a positive response in all parts of the city.
