From the desk of Todd Mosley

Dear Friend,

September 3, 1998

A new mayor needs a new city council. Ward One cannot send Frank Smith back to the city council and Jim Graham has no track record of representing the diverse communities of Ward One.

Frank Smith talks of Major League Baseball while most kids in Ward One don’t have access to Little League Baseball.

I will be a council member who believes Little League comes before Major League.

Four years ago, Jim Graham gave Frank Smith a fundraiser at Jim’s Ward 4 home. Frank and Jim are career-long buddies. They are part of the old Barry Machine. They are opposite sides of the same coin. Both view the Ward One seat as part of a retirement package.

I am not running on an abstract vision of what I’m “going to do” once I’m on the council. I’m running because I want to continue the work I’m doing now but with the legislative power of a council member.

There are a few promises I want to make to you. Within four years, the quality of life in our neighborhoods will improve. More kids will go to college. Less violence will greet us on the street. More families will feel secure. Our Children will have access to Little League.

I need your vote to make it happen. Then I’ll need your support and involvement over the next four years. I’ll work hard and you’ll be proud I’m your council member.

See you at the polls,

Todd Mosley
