The Washington Post

“. . . Catania [has] earned praise from some council observers for asking blunt questions and fighting to alter or block wasteful legislation and contracts.’

The InTowner, Editorial

David has been commended for “looking beyond the usual same old tired excuses” and for being “a creative politician with vision.”

The City Paper, Loose Lips

David is a “pitbull . . . willing to sink [his] teeth into no-account bureaucrats.”

The Washington Times, Editorial

“Mr. Catania hits the nail on the head when he prods health officials toward preventative care.”

Dear Friend,

Since taking office following last December’s Special Election, I have been working very hard on behalf of The Common Good: Safer Streets, Accountable Government, and Better Schools. Simply put, I have insisted on better services for our tax dollars.

In pursuit of The Common Good, I have been working to create an Office of Women’s Health Issues within the Department of Health, which will concentrate on coordinating public health expertise with the delivery of health care services. In addition, I have introduced legislation that will establish a locally elected prosecutor for the District who will focus on fighting public corruption and protecting the integrity of our government.

In order to continue this and other important work, I will need your vote on November 3rd.

Warm regards,

David A. Catania, Councilmember, At-Large
