(Washington, DC) On Thursday evening, October 17 an endorsement event hosted by a group of Republicans for Williams supporters in Northwest DC. In a concrete show of civic unity, nearly four-dozen prominent District of Columbia Republicans gathered with Mayor Anthony Williams to proclaim their support for his re-election bid in the upcoming general election.

The Republicans for Williams host committee included Lisa Bolden of Health Capital Partners, Pedro Alfonso of Dynamic Concepts, Inc., Christine D. Brooks, David Carmen, The Carmen Group, Frederick A. Douglas, Leftwich & Douglas law firm, Stephen D. Harland, Barbara Hayward, George Lowe, VSA Co., Jack Lyon, PMI parking, Jerry Pierce Santos, InterAmerica, Co. and Brenda Williams, former Chief of staff for Marion Barry, expressed the importance of Mayor Anthony Williams continuing to move the District in the right direction.

Lisa Bolden stated, “Mayor Williams has led this City in the right direction for four years. We have joined together to show you that we believe in what you are doing for our City and are here to support your re-election for Mayor.”

Mayor Williams told the GOP supporters, “Thank you for your show of support this evening. I am honored to be here tonight to accept your endorsement as Mayor for the next four years and I am also delighted that this endorsement is coming from so many members of the “other” party that begins with an “R.”

The endorsement event took place at Ozio Restaurant.
