A life long resident of Ward One.

Shelore lives in the same house where she grew up and raised her son, Cary. Shelore graduated from Cardozo High School, DC Teacher's College, University of the District of Columbia and Georgetown Law Center. A mother, educator, community leader, and lawyer, Shelore has fought for a better Ward One for over 30 years:

  • ANC Commissioner
  • Principal of St. Augustine's School
  • Chair of the Ward One Democrats.
  • A practicing Attorney.

Shelore Williams will continue to fight for us.

On the City Council, Shelore Williams will:

  • Fight to freeze property taxes for long time homeowners and strengthen rent control laws.
  • Fight to re-open a public hospital that will serve the entire community.
  • Fight to bring a prescription drug benefit to our seniors.
  • Fight for our children's future by improving our public schools.
  • Fight to prevent crime through economic development, improved schools, as well more police on our streets.
  • Fight to improve our parks and create park space and park activities for pet owners, families, and retirees.
