Arab Community Center Endorses Schwartz for Mayor

(Washington, DC) The Arab Community Center (ACC) USA, which represents more than 7 million Arab Americans in the U.S. and 55,000 in the District of Columbia, has endorsed Carol Schwartz for Mayor of the District of Columbia.

"The Arab Community Center has been an active neighbor in the Washington area since 1995, and we think that Carol Schwartz has a demonstrated commitment to the city and to all of its residents, including the many Arab Americans who live here," said Osama Elsharabassi, President of the ACC. Mr. Elsharabassi also added, "This is a very diverse city with very serious issues facing it, and Ms. Schwartz is the person who can unite us and move us forward in making the city a better place for all of us."

In response to the endorsement, Mayoral candidate Schwartz said, "This shows that we can truly unite a diverse city of Democrats and Republicans, as well as people of all ethnicities and religious faiths."
