As a teacher, administrator, and education policy consultant, Julie will bring to the
school board unmatched experience and a unique passion for helping young people excel. She
will use her talent to help the students of DC Public Schools reach their full potential
and make DC's schools the envy of the nation.

- Director of Curriculum, Technology, & Teacher Recruitment at DC's SEED Public
Charter School
- Science & math teacher in Washington, DC
- Participant in the 1999 Congressional roundtable on recruiting & retaining science
& math teachers
- Teach for America teacher
- Captain, Georgetown University women's basketball team
