A PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

To approve, on an emergency basis, the proposed compensation system changes to the Executive Service Pay Schedule to include Class 11 in Level ES and to change the salary range for that level.

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the "Executive Service Compensation System Changes Emergency Approval Resolution of 2003".

Sec. 2. Pursuant to § 1052(d) of the District of Columbia Comprehensive Merit Personnel Act of 1978, effective March 3, 1979 (D.C. Law 2-139), as added by § 101(m) of the Omnibus Personnel Reform Amendment Act of 1998, effective June 10, 1998 (D.C. Law 12-124; D.C. Official Code § 1-610.52(d)), the Council approves the proposed changes to the Executive Service Pay Schedule, as recommended by the Mayor.

Sec. 3. The Executive Service Pay Schedule is changed to include Class 11 in Level ES and to change the salary range for that level.

Sec. 4. The schedule referred to in sections 2 and 3 is approved as follows:

Sec. 5. The proposed compensation system changes to the Executive Service Pay Schedule shall become effective on April 21, 2003.

Sec. 6. The Council adopts the fiscal impact statement in the committee report as the fiscal impact statement required by section 602(c)(3) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 813; D.C. Official Code § 1-206.02(c)(3)).

Sec. 7. The Secretary of the Council shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its adoption, to the Mayor.

Sec. 8. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
